Camila Arteche Pazó is a Cuban actress and hostess. She is best known for her roles as Cecilia in the television series Aquí Estamos (2009), Lisandra in the film El Acompañante (2015) and hostess for the Cuban reality television show Bailando en Cuba (2017- 2018).She graduated from The National School of Arts in 2009. Shortly after, Camila debuted as Cecilia in the television series Aqui Estamos(2009) and won the best new actress in the Cuban awards Adolfo Llauradó for that role.She appeared in several other television series and programs. Her first experience on the big screen was in the Venezuelan biographical film Bolívar, El Hombre de las Dificultades (2012) as the Haitian Madame Jeanne Bourvil.She also starred as Katrina in the film Sin Alas(2012), which is inspired from one of Lezama Lima's poems. Camila portrayed Celeste in the film Bailando con Margot (2015) and Lisandra in the film El Acompañante(2015). El Acompañante is based on a true story of the first cases of HIV in Cuba. In her role as Lisandra, she received an award from Latin Ace Awards in the category of best actress in a supporting role.She has also earned other awards such as best actress at the Festival of the Five Continents of Venezuela (2018), The Julio Nunez Prize for the best performance in the International Short Film Festival of Torrelavega (FICT-2018) MLC Awards (2020), Rome International Movie Awards (2021) and the Canadian Cinematography Awards (2021) for her role in the short film "It comes from the Heavens" (2016). In 2017 she plays the role of Paula in the film "Sergio & Serguei" coproduced by the group Mediapro. She was also part of the cast of the Cuban-Dutch film "Verliefd op Cuba" (2019) and in that same year she starred in the short film "Boxeadora" for which she won the Best Actress Award at the Hollywood North Films Festival (2022).Camila moved to the United States in 2019. In 2021 she performed her first English role in the short film "Un pequeño corte".She has kept doing theater in Miami City and in 2022 she created the project We Are Together to provide free emotional support to people in Cuba and Latin America.
