Brenton Prince was born in Newcastle NSW and grew up surfing the city's reef and beach breaks. He started playing Rugby League at the age of 8 and would later become a junior Newcastle representative footballer with a promising future in the sport. After a few setbacks which resulted in a "lack of passion" for the game his mother suggested he should have a try at acting.After reluctantly attending a NIDA touring workshop, it was during this where he caught the acting bug and set out to pursue a career as a professional actor. He joined an amateur theatre group in Sydney which performed various plays in and around the city where his passion for performing grew. Looking to further his training and enhance his craft, Brenton applied for a 2 year intense acting program at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City and was accepted. During his time studying at Strasberg, Brenton was cast in numerous short films and performed in various plays throughout the city. He also attained a "Recommended Pass" from The Society of American Fight Director's in stage combat. After graduating in 2010, Brenton returned home to Sydney and has been working as a professional actor in Television and Film since.In 2015 Brenton was cast in the indie film "Pop-Up" in a supporting role playing the volatile "Sam Davies'. The film became very successful throughout various film festival's all over the world winning awards in Barbados, London and the "Grand Jury Honorable Mention" award at the Dance's with Films Festival, at the famous Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.With an extensive list of credits to his name like "The Great Gatsby" and "Home and Away" Brenton has worked alongside some of the best director's and actor's such as Baz Lurhmann and Leonardo DiCaprio. He has also been featured in over 20 Television Commercials.He recently became part of the hit television Underbelly series by portraying the lead Federal Agent in "Underbelly: Vanishing Act".
