A longtime Radio and TV broadcaster in the midwest and Arizona, Uncle Bob began singing country music, giving the likes of Bobby Helms (Jingle Bell Rock) and musician Joe Edwards their first break. He once had over 35,000 fans show at a public appearance for his "Old Western Ledger" kids show on WTTV in Bloomington, Indiana. Uncle Bob was also known for playing the part of "Captain Almost" on the "SS KIVA" in Yuma, Arizona. He was director of Broadcasting for twenty years at KAWC Radio in Yuma.
