Bela Klentze

Bela Klentze was born on Jul 25, 1988 in Germany. Bela Klentze's big-screen debut came with Nowhere in Africa directed by Caroline Link in 2001, strarring Boy with sledge (as Bela Klenze). Bela started his acting career as a child. At the age of 11, he played a young thief in Germany's most successful and longest-running crime series "Tatort" ("Crime scene"). He made further appearances as an actor, for instance, in Caroline Link's movie "Nirgendwo in Afrika" ("Nowhere in Africa"). The film, made in 2001, was based on an autobiographical novel by Stefanie Zweig and won the Oscar for "Best Foreign Language Film" in 2002, as well as five german Movie Awards. At 16 years of age, during his training as an actor at the "Internationale Schule für Schauspiel und Acting" ("International School for Drama and Acting") in Munich, Bela Klentze became a star of the german Disney Channel. He played the main role of Moritz ("Mo") in the sitcom "Disney's Kurze Pause" ("Disney's Short Break"). Furthermore he worked for Disney in the US! From 2008 to 2009 Bela played a main role in the telenovela "Wege zum Glueck" ("Ways to Happiness"). Consecutively Bela starred in many different productions, e.g. in the historical two-part TV movie "Gottes maechtige Dienerin" ("God's Mighty Servant"), in the blockbuster "Factor 8" and in the movie "Unter der Sonne" ("Under the sun"), which won several awards. From 2005 on Bela also worked as a theatre actor, e.g. on the international theatre tour for "Ein Apartment zu dritt" ("Accommodations") in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. From 2011 to 2013 Bela played a lead role in the german daily TV series "Unter uns" ("Under one roof"). His character of Bela was especially written for him and named after him. For this role he was nominated "Best Newcomer" for the "German Soap Awards" in 2011. In March 2012 Bela was the MC in the popular german TV music show "The Dome". Since 2014 he has also worked as voice actor, over-dubbing characters in movies for the german market, e.g. for "American Sniper" and "The Game of Thrones", amongst others. In 2015 Bela played a main role in the television film "Hubert und Staller: Unter Woelfen" ("Hubert and Staller: Among Wolves"). After filming he has worked as a model in Cape Town for two months. In 2016 for the second time Bela started to play a character that was written especially for him, in one of Germany's most successful daily TV series "Alles was zaehlt" ("All that matters"), another lead role. He played the character Ronny Bergmann for four consecutive years. Meanwhile he took an impressive part in one of Germany's most successful TV shows, "Let's Dance" ("Dancing with the stars"), in 2018, where he danced with Oana Nechiti. In 2019 and 2020 Bela was cast in the 80's Retro TV series "Tractor Music", the second-world-war-TV series "The Lost Picture" and the international martial arts movie "Projekt Adler" ("Project Adler"). In the latter movie he was the antagonist Hendriks.
