Béla Balogh was born on Jan 01, 1885 in Austria-Hungary [now Hungary]. Béla Balogh's big-screen debut came with Pénz áll a házhoz directed by Béla Balogh in 1939.

In 1904 he was a member of the Népligeti Színkör (Acting Group of the People's Park) then he entered into engagement in the country as singer romantic lead and theatre director. Later he went to Budapest. In WWI he became disabled. After his discharge he played in Royal Orfeum and Crystal Palace. Later he became an usher of the Opera and movie managing director. In 1915 he established the Balogh and Mogán Co. In 1916-18 he is a director of the Astra Film, in Fall 1919 that of Star Film, between 1920-24 Leading Director. In 1927 he worked in Berlin. In 1941 he established his own film producing company. He belonged to the artists demanding high standards preferring lyric, sentimental topics. He acted as philosophical author as well. There was a time when he led a school of cinema. His much remembered piece in the era of silent film is the realist-type Fehér galambok fekete városban (1923). - His Rózsafabot (1940) was a hit.
