His ancestry includes German, Dutch, Swedish, and Native American; his surname springs from a distant German immigrant ancestor named "Freyberger". His oldest brother Charles Fryberger III is a doctor, and Evan, his other brother, is pursuing a music career. Austin managed to depart his from his southern hometown when he followed the advice from a TV/Film native, Tina Treadwell, to pursue a career of film acting out in Los Angeles, California.
