Astor Kim-Stark is a Korean-American film director and writer. Born in the Republic of Korea to a German father and Korean mother, she spent her childhood between Asia and the United States. She is a 2019 recipient of Ryan Murphy's Directors HALF Initiative, and a 2020 Semi-Finalist of the Academy Nicholl Fellowship. She attended the prestigious USC School of Cinematic Arts where she earned her M.F.A. in Film & Television Production.
