He was a writer and director, known for Nada dan Dakwah (1991), Kuberikan Segalanya (1992) and Pagar Kawat Berduri (1961). He was previously married to Mutiara Sani and Nurani, Siti. He died on January 11, 2004 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
