Arseniy Gonchukov is an independent director, screenwriter, producer and poet. Graduated from State University of Nizhny Novgorod (the faculty of philology) and Cinema School at National Research University "Higher School of Economics" (the feature film workshop of A. Fenchenko). Arseniy worked as a journalist, television presenter, screenwriter of documentaries and the second director of multi-episode feature film "Sindrom drakona" (Dragon syndrome, Channel One (Russia), directed by N. Khomeriki).The screenwriter, director and producer of four feature-length films: "1210" (2012), "Flight. Three Days After the Crash" (2013), "The Son" (2014), "The Last Night" (2015) and a short film "The Final Stop ". All the pictures are low-budget and created with no state support. Arseniy distributes his own films. In 2014, his film "The Son" had wide release in Russia and Poland.Arseniy Gonchukov holds 18 awards of Russian and international film festivals. Winner of the "Window to Europe" film festival Grand Prix, the National Award "Strana" and awards of the festivals "Kinoshok", "Volokolamskiy Rubezh", "West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival" (Political Theme category), "Svyataya Anna", "Kinoprizyv" and others. Participated in dozens of film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, the Montreal Film Festival, "Chacun son Court" (France), "Ten Festiwal Kijow Warszawa" (Poland) and many others.Arseniy creates films without state support, at private expense.
