Andy Fairweather-Low learned to play guitar and began his music career in a band called The Taffbeats. He came to fame as the singer in the band Amen Corner, who had hit singles between 1967 and 1969 with "Gin House Blues", "The World Of Broken Hearts", "Bend Me Shape Me", "High In The Sky", "(If Paradise Is) Half As Nice" and "Hello Suzie". At the end of the decade the band separated and Andy launched a solo career, which produced the hit singles "Reggae Tune" in 1974 and "Wide Eyed And Legless" in 1975. In the 1980s, financial problems forced him to finish his solo career but he continued to work in the music business, touring as a guitarist with stars such as
