Growing up in Texas, Alia Rhiana Eckerman traveled a lot with her family due to her fathers job in the music industry. Having an apartment in New York and a flat in London, Alia was exposed to great theatre in her childhood. After attending school at the University of Hawaii, and moving to Los Angeles, Alia worked in casting and production offices before she started working for the award winning composer David Newman. Alia is married with one child- Aria Surrec. Aria starred in the Warner Brothers pilot "I Mom So Hard" for CBS with comedians Jen Smedley and Kristin Hensley.
