Alex McTavish
Alex McTavish was born on May 20, 1978 in Hong Kong. Alex McTavish's big-screen debut came with Stepsister from Planet Weird directed by Steve Boyum in 2000.
Alexandra McTavish was born and raised in Hong Kong to Australian parents. Her childhood was spent travelling throughout Asia, sailing the South China Sea, writing scripts and forcing the neighbourhood kids to act in her plays. Her love for acting came later, at high school, with roles in Shakespeare, Ibsen and self-devised works. Despite her interest in the creative arts, she graduated from University with a Bachelor of Journalism and Economics and worked briefly for a national news corporation and politician before choosing a career as an artist. Alex also has an MA in Writing and went to drama school in London.Alex is an actress, writer, director and producer known for Balboa Blvd (2019), Essayette (2008), House Husbands (2012), Les sirènes de Mako (2013) and Les voisins (1985). She is co-founder of Anywhere Theatre Festival, an annual festival that celebrate arts for everyone, right where they live.
