Alex D. da Silva has been in the film industry since 1989. He worked as a Producer, Cinematographer, and Director in commercials and non-commercial projects in the U.S. and Latin America. He directed the award-winnings short film "O Cantor de Samba" and the documentary "Digital Lives" about immigrant entrepreneurs in the post-boom Silicon Valley. In 2006 he shot and directed, with Justine Jacob, the documentary "Runners High" which tells the story of inner city kids in the San Francisco East Bay who train to run the LA Marathon. They paired up again for "Ready, Set, Bag!" which follows competitors for the National Grocery Bagging competition. In 2009 he joined Colorflow Post in Berkeley, CA as their Executive Producer. Since 2016 he is working with Jim Capobianco at Aerial Contrivance Workshop producing quality animation that both entertains and informs. ACW is involved with the animation sequence for "Mary Poppins Returns" to be released by Disney in 2018.
