Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on January 7, 1991 to Margaret Grant, an artist, and Paul Coury, a business owner, Alex Michael Coury grew up as the youngest and only boy of four siblings. Being from a large family, Alex developed a jovial personality combined with a keen ability to stand out and entertain friends and family alike.Alex's first step in his acting career came when he just was five years old. While attending the debut of Grease at Tulsa Performing Arts Center, the cast called up the budding actor and comedian onto the stage to participate in an audience dance competition. Beating out a group of other kids and adults, Alex took gold by impersonating Danny Zuko. Then, five years later, Alex appeared in the popular TV series Bug Juice (2001), a Disney Channel production about kids trying to adapt to summer camp while making friends and having unforgettable memories along the way. While in high school, he held several leading roles in the school plays and was active in different performances throughout Tulsa. One of which includes, Chaim Potok's, The Chosen. Alex starred as the young Jewish boy, Reuven Malter, at the Tulsa Performing Art Center.In 2008, he moved to LA to pursue acting. While studying Fine Arts at the New York Film Academy and working a valet job at the Sunset Tower Hotel, Alex starred as the Prom King in Avril Lavigne's music video "Here's to Never Growing Up." Acting is Alex's biggest passion. He is a driven and talented young man with abilities that stretch from comedic to dramatic acting. He is well-rounded in accents, voice over work, impersonations and stand-up comedy. Understanding that acting is just one aspect of the creative process. Alex also owns his own company, Coury Consulting. It's here his passion transcends disciplines as an actor, producer, and director for his series, "Character Training." Alex's creative training videos and progressive marketing solutions are seen at businesses across the country.Alex has studied at Playhouse West, The Groundlings and Second City in Hollywood. In addition, he was trained in stage combat by Jack Huang (The Mummy, Pacific Rim, The Last Ship, etc.) who is one of the best fight choreographers in Hollywood. Alex can be seen at venues throughout L.A. performing his stand-up comic routine.
