Alessandra Cannito

Alessandra Cannito was born on Jul 20, 1991 in Canada. Alessandra Cannito's big-screen debut came with Ricky's Room - Season 1 directed by Jeff Gruen in 1999.

Alessandra started her career at age 9 when she auditioned for the Canadian children's series, Ricky's Room, through word of mouth and kept with the series until the end of its run. Her with many theatre credits, her favorites include Dorothy in The WIZ, Gabriella in High School Musical, and The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat with Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts' RYC, where she was the proud recipient of RYC's inaugural "Performer of the Year Award".In 2009, she was accepted into the prestigious Berklee College of Music with the World Tour Scholarship. Alessandra is currently enrolled in her last year of Ryerson University's highly regarded Radio and Television Arts program.Alessandra loves supporting her Toronto sports teams and has had the honour of performing at Toronto Blue Jays games, Toronto Marlies games, for the National Women's Hockey League and National Lacrosse Tournament: The Minto Cup. The largest of her many sports events performances took place in 2010, when Alessandra sang to a full stadium at the Air Canada Centre for the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Carolina Hurricanes game, she continues to sing at MLSE corporate and fundraising events.Alessandra takes great pride in all her charity events including McMaster Children's Hospital, the Easter Seals Foundation, Breast Cancer Foundation, Future Possibilities, The Wings of Hope Foundation, Voices 2009 benefitting MusiCounts, and Habitat for Humanity.
