Aldo Swastia

Aldo Swastia was born on Sep 04, 1985 in Indonesia. Aldo Swastia's big-screen debut came with Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dolar directed by Hestu Saputra in 2014. Aldo Swastia is known for Jendral Soedirman directed by Viva Westi, Adipati Dolken stars as Jenderal Soedirman and Ibnu Jamil as Kapten Tjokropanolo (Nolly). The upcoming new movie Aldo Swastia plays is Cadet 1947 which will be released on Nov 25, 2021.

Aldo graduated Bachelor of Arts from Jakarta Institute of Art (IKJ), where he received full scholarship and achieved Cum Laude. His final project, Angin (Eng: An Essence of Wind), was critically acclaimed, nominated for Best Short Film at 2010 Festival Film Indonesia and was screened domestically and internationally.After working as an assistant director and co-director in Indonesian feature films, he directed several projects, namely 2 seasons of "Brata," a HOOQ/Maxstream original crime series and "Dunia Maya," a Vision+ original drama series; co-directed the 2018 Asian Games Opening Ceremony's President Welcome Video; and directed "Di Balik Kubikal," an XL Axiata commercial web series for MyXL channel in Youtube which won The Breakthrough Content Marketing of the Year in Marketeers Editor's Choice Award 2019. He also worked as co-producer in a feature film "Preman." He is in the process of making his first feature film called "Kadet 1947" where he acts as the director and screenwriter.He is also a published fiction writer, with 14 of his short stories were published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama in 2014 under a short story collection called "Memorabilia 8 Februari."
