Al Cohn was born on Nov 24, 1925 in USA. Al Cohn's big-screen debut came with Joe Gould's Secret directed by Stanley Tucci in 2000.
Composer and saxophonist, educated in private music study, and a saxophonoist with the orchestras of Alvino Rey, Joe Marsala, Buddy Rich, and Woody herman. He performed on the radio version of "Your Hit Parade", and arranged for RCA Victor in 1955-1956, also performing as saxophonist on many records. In 1957 he formed his own quintet, and appeared in night clubs and in jazz festivals.
