Ákos Barnóczky
Ákos Barnóczky was born on Feb 21, 1968 in Hungary. Ákos Barnóczky's big-screen debut came with Szöke kóla directed by Ákos Barnóczky in 2005, strarring Bunkó sofõr.
Ákos Barnóczky studied theatrical science in Sárospatak, Hungary, beginning in 1986. He came to the Hungarian National Theatre in Budapest as an Assistant Director in 1991. From 1993 to 2005 he directed more than 10 stage productions. In the late 1990s, Ákos directed music videos and TV commercial spots. He wrote the 1999 hit action feature Európa Expressz, which was released in the U.S., Germany, Russia, and South Korea as well as Hungary. Ákos worked with TV2 and RTL Hungary from 1998 to 2011. He was the head writer of the crime series Dead Files and also wrote for the daily drama series Barátok kozt. He also wrote and directed several episodes of the series Jóban rosszban. In 2005 Ákos directed the movie Szoke Kóla, voted "Comedy of the Year" by Hungarian audiences. He wrote and directed the erotic thriller LogIn, which was also released internationally, and screened in competition at the NOVA Film Festival in the U.S. in 2015. Ákos was invited to join the Hungarian Film Academy in 2014.
