Åke Holmberg was a Swedish author, mostly known for his nine books about the absent minded private detective Ture Sventon who loves the semla bun. Holmberg grew up in Stockholm and studied at the University of Stockholm. He also worked as a translator for more than twenty books and received the Nils Holgersson Award in 1961.
