Adam was born in San Francisco California. He grew up in San Francisco and the coastal town of Pacifica. His father is a genetic engineer and his mother was a medical assistant. Adam started performing stand up comedy at age 12. Later he auditioned multiple times for SNL and Mad TV but both passed on making him a cast member. He has been a credited cast member on two films that were nominated for best picture in The Oscars, The Pursuit Of Happyness and Milk.
