Aaron's first short, Aftermath, was rejected for "disturbing content" by his high school's film festival in the tenth grade. Undeterred, he continued his work while studying at the University of Central Florida and the American film Institute. His short film, Andy in Love (2004), debuted at the Florida Film Festival. His AFI Film, Redemption Maddie (2007), premiered at Santa Barbara International Film Festival and garnered Best Short Awards at both AFI Dallas and BendFilm Festival. It was distributed on DVD and VOD through Reframe and Amazon.
