A.J. Castro was born in Costa Rica and raised in Miami. He got his first taste of movie-making as a high-school student working with his childhood friend to write, direct, act, and edit his own works. His first major on-screen experience was as a featured extra in the movie Transporter 2. Soon after that, he moved to Los Angeles and studied with the drama department at CSULA. Since then, he's booked roles in numerous TV Shows, Films, and Commercials. He has appeared on hit shows like Dexter, Will and Grace, The Cool Kids, Mr. Mayor, and NCIS. Aside from acting AJ has launched and is developing his own projects including scripted podcasts, and both comedy and dramatic TV pilots. A.J. prides himself on his work ethic and artistic vision. Married in 2004, and father to two sweet girls AJ is a family man, who is passionate about his work and tries to savor every moment. Outside of work some of his passions include basketball, board games with friends, and grabbing a nice margarita with his wife.
